Spring is coming, the vines of l’Abbaye de Salaz are pruned and it’s time for Michel Kropf to take “Lupe” out of the barn to enjoy the first spring sessions with his friend Casam.

March is the perfect time to take the camper out. The nights are less cold and it is not yet warm enough for the smell of socks to create real tension between the residents of the caravan.
Departure at dawn and at ten thirty, the summit is reached. At noon, back to the camper van for the apéro, some saucisson and checking the next day’s face.
Then, in the right order: nap, pinot noir and a daily coaching session of the swiss card game called Jass. As Casam is from the Basque country, he still needs to master the “pique double” before being labeled “made in the Alps“.
