Wondering if Atlassia could be your ideal fengshui home? Seems like there are still a few units available for sale. Read on for our in-depth residential fengshui review including fengshui tips before you decide.
Atlassia @ Joo Chiat: Landform Fengshui
Located at Joo Chiat Place and Tembeling Road, Atlassia resides in the heritage enclave of Katong and Joo Chiat, sitting on the Eastern Dragon with the fengshui formation of “Tai Gong Fishing”. This is similar to the “Li Bai Ploughing the Field” formation in Telok Kurau.
Both of these formations include notions of waiting for the right opportunity and staying carefree. This explains the indefinite developments in Katong. Despite being a man of talents, Jiang Tai Gong’s expertise was only discovered by Emperor Zhou Wen when he was 80 years old.
It should be noted that Jiang Tai Gong did not waste decades of his life waiting for this opportunity. He used the time to ponder over state affairs. Similarly, Katong may be waiting for the right opportunity but it will not do good to stay idle.
It is believed that the premium residential district will continue to form the basis of developments here.
External fengshui considerations
Located in the heart of Joo Chiat, Atlassia is surrounded by great schools, pockets of green spaces, eateries, cafes, and malls like KINEX, PLQ and i12 Katong nearby. The eclectic vibes of the heritage neighbourhood is one of the biggest draws, but what of the fengshui influences?
Sitting along Joo Chiat Place and Tembeling Road, Atlassia faces a cross junction to its left. Cross-junction roads are potential landform obstructions that could bring Sha Qi, unless your home is located on a higher floor. As such, the #30 shophouse and stack 05 should stay mindful.
As this new development also sits along the route of bus stops, one can expect noise pollution (噪音), especially for 2nd storey shophouse units overlooking Joo Chiat Place. This could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. To counter this, homeowners can consider installing sound insulation.
Units that are located in close proximity to the lift are likely to encounter unstable magnetic fields at home, leading to household disharmony and health issues. While homeseekers/owners of stack 03 should consider this, do note that there are fengshui remedies for such situations.
Some people may have concerns about staying near places of worship. At the time of writing, the Kuan Im Tng Temple (Joo Chiat) is just a stone’s throw away from Atlassia.
From a fengshui perspective, temples are where devotees gather and perform acts of worship, hence it will congregate a strong force of energy that may cause a qi imbalance to its surroundings. It is also believed that temples will attract spirits and ghosts, making the area unfavourable for long-term dwellers. However, concluding the qi condition based on the temple alone is not an inclusive move.
